Guda Venkatesh

CEO and Founder, Vysr

Guda has over 20 years of experience in the presence and communications industry and originated the concepts of Presence and Availability Management (PAM). While at Alcatel-Lucent’s Bell Labs, he led the development of presence standards as the founder of the industry consortium PAM forum.

Guda is the co-founder of Teltier Technologies (acquired by Dynamicsoft Inc. and now part of Cisco Systems Inc.) and led the design and development of mobile presence infrastructure and applications for Teltier. He holds a Ph.D. in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Bachelor of Technology in computer sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Rajeev Motwani

Professor of Computer Science, Stanford University Member, Founding Google Research Team

Rajeev is a professor of computer science at Stanford University, where he also serves as the director of graduate studies. His research has spanned a diverse set of areas in computer science, including databases and data mining, web search and information retrieval, robotics, computational drug design and theoretical computer science.

Rajeev has written two books: Randomized Algorithms and an undergraduate textbook. He has received the Godel Prize, the Okawa Foundation Research Award, the Arthur Sloan Research Fellowship, the National Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation, the Bergmann Memorial Award from the United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation, and the IBM Faculty Award. Rajeev serves on various industry boards and over 20 startup advisory boards, including Google, Inc. He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988.

He has held global vice president marketing positions at Baan Company, Avalon Software LLC and Oracle Corporation. M.R. has been profiled on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and was included in Forbes’ Midas List, as one of the top 100 most influential investors in technology. He holds an MBA from Kent State University and a Bachelor degree from the University of Madras, India.

Raghuveer Mendu

Co-founder and General Partner of Ventureast Capital

Raghu is the Co-founder and General Partner of Ventureast Capital, one of India's early Venture Capital Funds, founded in 1996. He has invested in companies in both India and the US.Raghu was an entrepreneur, having founded and exited two software and services companies. He was responsible for several enterprise M&As, including a large roll up play. Prior to that he was responsible for starting and building a technology subsidiary for a major financial institution. He also was responsible for the Financial Industries Group of Nixdorf Computer, having spent time in Product development with them.He is a Co-founder of The Heart of a Child Foundation (www.heartofachild.org), a charitable organization that supports the care & treatment of children born with Heart Defects and the research of Congenital Heart Defects Raghu has an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a B.Tech from IIT, Madras. .
